As the Director, Marketing Strategy & Planning, you will work in direct partnership with the CMO and the Marketing Leadership team to drive strong cross-functional partnerships and performance through the development and implementation of critical marketing planning processes, operating rhythms, and reporting cadences – ultimately driving accountability and success.
This role will be a key leader of our marketing leadership team reporting directly to ActiveCampaign’s CMO. This role is ultimately responsible for driving the effective operationalization of our marketing strategy and annual plans. You will help to develop and steer strategic programs, develop and own marketing operating rhythms, and the corresponding processes to drive performance and success for marketing.

 

What your day could consist of:

  • Operationalize our marketing strategy and plan through effective and efficient operating rhythms
  • Develop, and then continuously optimize our marketing rhythms and processes to ensure our teams are set up for success to drive growth and performance
  • Build and drive consistent collaboration across marketing functions, and cross-functionally with specific emphasis on driving close partnerships with Finance, Product, and Strategy Teams
  • Maintain oversight of the entire marketing investment, working in direct partnership with the CMO, Finance partners, and Marketing VPs
  • Facilitate MLT (Marketing Leadership Team) meetings, working sessions, and on-sites – continuously helping to drive accountability, transparency, and performance
  • Drive effective prioritization and focus throughout marketing and with key cross-functional partners
  • Drive reports on performance to plan to our quarterly and annual plans
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the CMO

What is needed:

  • 12+ Years in Marketing and/or related experience, with 6+ years in people leadership
  • SaaS Experience
  • Bias to action with an ability to operate with unknown factors
  • Builder and operator mentality MarTech or adjacent industry experience preferred
  • Expert communications skills across all mediums, and with all levels of the organization
  • Proven success in planning, developing, and executing quarterly and annual marketing plans
  • Ability to drive a mentality of continuous optimization, growth, and performance throughout the team and cross-functionally
  • Proven success in operationalizing market strategies
  • Both agency side and client side experience is preferred

Compensation:

$176,000 – $264,000 (per year salary)
