The DEI Coordinator Intern will report to and work closely with the Associate Director of DEI to ensure smooth operations of the DEI team and accomplish Spring Health’s DEI strategic plan. The DEI Coordinator Intern will partner with internal stakeholders and Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders to execute initiatives focused on developing a genuinely inclusive and equitable environment; and also support leadership with reviewing progress of Spring Health’s DEI Strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate, collaborate, and create with DEI Team, ERG leaders, Spring Health employees and/or stakeholders outside of Spring Health to ensure successful completion of the DEI Strategic Plan
- Research, write and finalize messaging, handbooks, and other documentation for the DEI team
- Assist with the coordination of all DEI and ERG events and initiatives such as cultural celebrations, professional development panels, networking opportunities, mentoring initiatives, restorative circles, training, and presentations
- Collaborate with ERGs, DEI Taskforce, and Executive Sponsors to organize events and initiatives as requested
- Employ strong communication skills, high attention to detail, critical thinking, creativity, growth mindset, and resilience to deliver DEI initiatives
- Practice a community minded and innovative approach to completing our DEI mission and supporting organizational values
- Work with people from all walks of life and practice understanding, passion and willingness to learn about and from others
What we expect from you:
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Business, Psychology or another related field
- Experience with human centered design thinking and data analysis
- Experience working on behalf of diverse populations to dismantle barriers to equity and inclusion, whether in a professional or volunteer capacity
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, awareness of, and commitment to contemporary issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Proactive approach to project management
- Experience developing creative solutions to complex problems
The target salary range for this position is $26/hr.
