We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Moderator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and usability of our Maritime data assets. As a member of ShipIn’s Customer Success team, you will be responsible for annotating data, moderating AI-generated content, performing system health checks, and extracting valuable insights to ensure a high level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Data Annotation:
Review and annotate datasets according to predefined guidelines and criteria.
Accurately label and categorize data elements to support machine learning and AI initiatives.
Ensure consistency and quality in data annotation processes to maintain high-quality labeled datasets.
Data Moderation:
Clean data to remove errors and inconsistencies.
Standardize data formats, values, and structures to enhance data quality and usability.
Collaborate with R&D and Product team to identify and address data quality issues.
System Health Check:
Perform routine checks and monitoring of data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues, such as data loss, corruption, or system downtime.
Implement preventive measures and protocols to maintain system health and integrity.
Data Analysis:
Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze data and extract actionable insights.
Prepare and present findings, reports, and visualizations to stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document data annotation processes, cleaning procedures, and system health checks for future reference.
Generate regular reports on data quality, system performance, and analysis findings for management review.
Qualifications / Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field.
Proven experience in QA, data annotation, data moderation, system monitoring, and data analysis roles.
Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Python, Google Spreadsheets, or Excel.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
