The Data Analyst will provide strategic insights, analysis, and leadership focused on Babylist’s fulfillment and operations. You will be responsible for visualizing, measuring, and analyzing our supply chain processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Science, you will work closely with teams in product, engineering, finance, and leadership to ensure Babylist makes data-driven decisions that impact our products and operations.

Who You Are

  • Extensive experience in e-commerce, with a focus on supply chain operations for high-volume consumer-facing companies.
  • 4+ years of experience in fast-paced e-commerce environments, ideally within a startup culture.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse operations, including familiarity fulfillment center performance metrics and critical processes.
  • Experience in optimizing warehouse processes such as pick-and-pack carts and inventory control.
  • Proven ability to design reports, reporting schedules, and provide actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • High degree of ownership with a strategic mindset and the ability to think about the bigger picture across operations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on emotional intelligence (EQ) to effectively collaborate and prioritize with stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake/SQL for data querying and reporting.
  • Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ability to transform data into useful insights for on-the-floor teams.
  • Ability to balance scrappy MVPs with scalable solutions to meet long-term business goals.
  • Experience in outlier detection and implementing quality control (QC) measures for inventory.
  • Python skills are preferred but not required.

  • Own the data that drives decisions around inventory planning and supply chain operations, ensuring that insights are actionable and impactful.
  • Develop high-leverage data products such as reports, forecasts, and predictive models that guide strategic decisions within fulfillment and operations.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams on experiment design, product strategy, and data usage to optimize performance.
  • Construct and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on key metrics, identifying trends and actionable insights.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to fulfillment and operations, offering data-backed recommendations to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Continuously iterate on and refine slotting strategies to optimize warehouse space and improve operational flow.
  • Analyze pick-and-pack carts and identify opportunities for error reduction, ensuring that carts are optimized for efficiency and minimizing overflow issues.
  • Implement outlier detection strategies for inventory control, ensuring proper quality checks and resolution of discrepancies in the warehouse.
  • Engage directly with warehouse teams to gain insights, understand physical operations, and ensure that data solutions are effectively implemented on the ground.

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $114,333.00 – $171,603.00
