Join our dynamic insurance defense legal team as a Counsel Support Associate. This position is a fully remote job for applicants residing in the state of Ohio. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support to Client Legal Services Attorneys, ensuring the smooth management of legal proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Document Management: Enter and manage pleadings, motions, and trial documents using the case management system.
- Calendar Management: Track trial, arbitration, and mediation dates, ensuring timely follow-ups and notifications.
- Client Communication: Respond to internal and external client inquiries and route communications as needed.
- Administrative Support: Perform mail management, scanning, and filing both in-office and electronically from home.
- Compliance Monitoring: Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance using the Team Connect Litigation Management System.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve minor issues related to administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: 3-6 years of administrative experience in a law firm.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and professionalism.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new legal management systems.

Compensation
