The Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering the organization’s compensation programs. Their primary role is to ensure that the organization’s compensation policies and practices align with its business objectives and comply with all relevant regulations. They will additionally manage external market survey vendors, execute survey submissions, retrieve results, and consolidate and analyze data returns for use in pay structure and merit salary increase analytics and related recommendations. The position will lead the compensation review process. Additional responsibilities include activity related to other compensation-based elements, such as job evaluations; job codes; ad hoc market research/analysis related to business requirements, etc.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Market Benchmarking & Survey Management
Complete and submit compensation surveys; analyze results to assess Attentive’s market position. Conduct annual band refreshes, evaluating changes needed based on market trends, survey data, and internal structures.
- Advisory & Stakeholder Partnership
Advise People Business Partners, Recruiting, FP&A, and business leaders on compensation and equity benchmarks for current and prospective employees. Provide first-line guidance on job architecture topics including leveling, classification, and equity frameworks.
- Compensation Program Management
Maintain global job codes, levels, and salary/equity bands; ensure internal consistency and external competitiveness. Partner with the Director of Compensation and Benefits to assess and enhance compensation philosophy, programs, and tools.
- Compensation Cycle & Budgeting
Lead annual and mid-year salary review processes, including tool preparation, salary budget planning, guideline creation, and post-cycle reporting. Support the creation of the equity grant budget and scenario modeling for compensation strategy proposals.
- Executive & Governance Support
Prepare compensation-related materials for quarterly reporting and executive dashboards. Build and maintain Compensation Committee decks related to executive compensation, equity usage, and benchmarking.
- Systems & Vendor Management
Manage compensation vendor relationships, oversee contract timelines, and evaluate tool effectiveness ahead of renewals.
Your Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience working in compensation
- Prior experience in the technology industry, primarily in SaaS Companies
- International Compensation Experience Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Dynamic Sheets)Ability to both think and work strategically but also hands-on in day-to-day administration
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment Ability to forward think and anticipate our needs and get ahead of them
- Ability to be solutions-oriented and, when problems arise, have a clear proposal for moving forward

– The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,400 – $153,000 annually + equity + benefits
– Equity is a substantial part of the total compensation package
– Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
