Yelp is looking for a Communications Specialist to join our Culture team. You’ll be joining a dynamic group of individuals who are responsible for delivering a rewarding and inclusive experience to all Yelp employees.
As a member of our team, you will drive the execution of communications for our Culture channels and programs with a goal of ensuring all Yelpers are informed, motivated, and invested in Yelp’s mission, vision, and accompanying strategies. Additionally, you’ll maintain content and project plans, Wiki documentation, and comms schedules. You’ll also partner in the analysis and documentation of communications, programs, and practices.

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States

Where You Come In:

  • You will write, edit, and collaborate on communications, including newsletters, emails and slide presentations
  • You will manage communications measurement tracking
  • You will manage and update Wiki pages
  • You will champion and embody Yelp culture, mission, and values


What it Takes to Succeed:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or liberal arts
  • You have 3+ years of experience; internal communications experience is a plus
  • You have exemplary writing and editing skills
  • You have a strong understanding of multimedia and visual storytelling
  • You are proficient in GDrive and related apps; Skill with MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Excel preferred
  • You are proficient with managing and updating Wiki documentation; Confluence experience is a plus
  • You have experience using modern communication platforms, such as Mailchimp or Bananatag
  • You have impeccable project management skills and pay keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • You are an organized, strategic thinker who can implement tactical measures and identify and manage evolving priorities
  • You have the ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities and deliver against deadlines
  • You have a passion for, and deep interest in, engagement, diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging
  • You are a collaborative and kind teammate
