As a buyer fraud analyst, you will be responsible for helping ensure that StubHub/Viagogo is a safe marketplace for users. You will identify and review risky accounts in order to identify and stop unauthorized purchases before they happen. You should be a data driven person able to piece together diverse pieces of information to make a risk assessment and take action when needed to keep our customers safe.
About The Team
StubHub’s Transaction Operations team is an organization comprised of multiple teams that are responsible for everything that happens from the moment you try to purchase a ticket to when you go to the event. Our teams help ensure that buyers can transact safely on our platform, that they receive their tickets successfully once they click ‘buy’ and are able to go enjoy their event.
This Full-Time position may require weekend, holiday, daytime, and/or evening hours.
This role will begin as in-office 5 days per week for the first 3-6 months and then will shift to in-office 3 days per week to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for identifying risky accounts based on a set criterion and help formulate changes when needed to ensure this criteria is always up to date.
- Analyze account information, activity and behavior, history, and trends to take appropriate action on both individual accounts as well as a broader selection of accounts which may match a certain known, identified fraud trend.
- Proactively communicate, target, and pursue identified fraud trends to mitigate the risk to our customers and to the business.
- Communicate logically, clearly, and effectively, both within the fraud team, as well as with other teams in the organization as needed to carry out your responsibilities ensure the integrity of our marketplace.
- Protect the integrity of our brand.
What You’ve Done
- Fraud experience in financial fraud, compliance, banking, KYC, or other related field.
- You’re a proactive team player who knows how to prioritize work and is willing to get things done
- You have skills to recognize patterns and an eye for detail, but also an ability to see the big picture and how the details fit together
- You’re flexible to work in shifts that include evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A propensity for carrying out investigations and analysis to arrive at a conclusion.
- You are not afraid of reaching high targets and KPIs
- Some fraud, risk and/or online payment experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a time sensitive environment.
- Second language knowledge is a plus
