An Author Community Manager (ACM) works with external content creators – whom we call “authors.”. An ACM is responsible for recruiting, qualifying, mentoring, and onboarding new authors, as well as maintaining relationships with existing authors.

 

They will interact with curriculum and production teams to deliver the right author for each specific content need, including but not limited to video training courses, interactive labs, and skill assessments. The ACM will also coordinate with marketing to match author candidates with relevant marketing campaigns.

What you’ll do:

 

  • Collaborate with curriculum, project coordination, and production to identify knowledge or expertise gaps within our author community
  • Coordinate with the domain leads for finding opportunities and sourcing authors for new content modalities; complete in-depth research of candidate background and expertise, vetting by technical skill, experience, and qualifications
  • Serve as an instructional mentor in aiding prospective authors to meet teaching and production standards; provide meaningful, detailed, and objective feedback for auditions
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks, including legal documentation, contractual agreements, compensation and work eligibility, and tax forms as well as access to all requisite tooling and databases for new authors
  • Maintain relationships with onboarded authors, provide support and consultation on relevant Pluralsight opportunities to ensure they continue to advance as a presence in the author community

 

Experience you’ll bring:

 

  • Experience in technical recruitment, business development, or program management in a relevant industry
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience assisting or managing one-to-many campaigns, reward and recognition programs, event marketing facilitation, or other go-to-market activities
  • Experience interacting with a diverse set of technical and non-technical colleagues and contacts
  • Possibility of travel, including participation in tech conferences, user groups, and other events where potential authors may be found
  • Experience with Salesforce and pipeline management software preferred
  • Experience with instructional design or EdTech preferred
  • Familiarity with the technology landscape, major players, and trends within specific topical domains is strongly preferred

 

Requirements:

 

Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent experience; or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
