A Human Resources Business Partner who will be responsible for being a primary strategic thought partner for our internal client groups. This hire should have excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability through ambiguity, and a high level of business acumen. This hire will be responsible for partnering with the Learning + Development and People Operations divisions within People + Culture for process improvements within the organization. There will be a heavy partnership with business leaders and Talent Acquisition to position our client groups for future success. The ideal candidate is genuinely curious, thrives in ambiguity, and has a passion for working cross-functionally.

What you’ll do

  • Advise & collaborate with People + Culture leadership to understand & develop projects that relate to employee performance, optimization, engagement, development, and organizational planning.
  • Partner with client group managers and directors to understand group needs both now and in the future, and help map plans to meet (read: exceed!) those needs
  • Act as a liaison between client groups, People + Culture specialized functions, and company leadership to ensure the needs of the business and needs of the client groups are cohesive
  • Partner with Learning + Development to ensure training materials and programs that further the performance of client groups
  • Proactively oversee and evaluate client group activities, build contingency plans, and execute corrective action on a timely basis to mitigate risks
  • Coordinate with senior management and the People + Culture team to execute on change management strategies
  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of policies, processes, and initiatives to support the organization’s HR compliance and strategic needs
  • Analyze employee performance and engagement data of client groups and partner with team leaders to interpret and action on said data
  • Contribute to the evolution and improvement of the team processes by providing feedback and sharing ideas that will increase strategic output, drive efficiency or enhance our technical capability.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply knowledge and communicate changes to applicable partners

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 2-3 years of HR experience
  • Customer Success experience a plus
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite or related software
  • Ability to quickly learn our systems and tools
  • Experience working in hospitality or short-term rentals a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and in often ambiguous environments
  • Passion for working with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders
