Accounting Manager

Blockdaemon is looking for an Accounting Manager to prepare and analyze the company’s financial records. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation reviews, general ledger reviews, forecasting and budgeting. This role will also analyze corporate financial operations to ensure the business is running efficiently.

This role will primarily work east coast hours, report into the Financial Controller, and will manage a small team.

Your Impact

• Prepares monthly reports and financial statements for overall company accounting and financial KPI tracking
• Prepares financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and in accordance with IFRS/GAAP
• Guide, mentor, and manage a small team of accountants, ensuring excellence in team’s work and encouraging opportunities for learning and professional development
• Prepares general ledger entries and provides proper supporting documentation for annual audit
• Conducts various analysis and prepares metrics reporting; working with and supporting various departments
• Supports the selection and implementation of sales and balance management systems and tools, working closely with teams across the company in making such selections consistently meet our company’s quickly evolving needs
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Role Requirement

• 4-6 years of experience in an accounting and/or finance role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance or another related field required
• Experience managing people in previous roles
• Experience working with NetSuite required (ideally 3+ yrs)
• Experience in using ADP/Bill.com/Stripe and Netsuite required
• Experience working with Netsuite data is a huge plus!
• Strong Excel and Google Sheet skills required
• Working knowledge of GAAP requirements preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Blockchain experience is a big plus!
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency /token-economics
• Self-motivated and detail oriented while producing high-quality and accurate work in a startup environment

US Base Salary range: 110,000 – 135,000 USD
