Onfleet is seeking a rockstar Accountant to join our accounting team.  This person will be responsible for much of the day-to-day and month-end accounting operations, which will include: Accounting, Reporting and Analysis, Accounting Systems, and may also include assisting in Treasury, Procurement, Payroll, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.  This position will also be involved in improving financial processes in various accounting areas through interaction with other team members.  This role will also be involved in parts of the Company’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, assisting in budgeting, forecasting and various analyses.

What you’ll do:
  • Perform day-to-day accounting functions, such as preparing monthly journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing financial reports and accounts and making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, revenue and expenses that are in compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist in improvement of accounting processes and month-end close procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to Management.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation.
  • Assist in periodic forecast process.
  • Coordinate accounting and finance matters with other departments.
  • Assist in cash and banking activities
  • Manage the expense reporting and control process, including corporate credit card program.
  • Participate in the annual financial statement audit.
  • Provide necessary information during review of financial statements and tax return completion.
  • Develop strong working relationships with peers and others
What You’ll Bring:
  • BA/BS in Business/Finance/Accounting is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong, self-reliant personality with superior planning, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative work relationships at all levels within the Company and with external business partners.
  • Strong initiative and desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be a self-starter with excellent time and project management and follow-through skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience with various formulas, pivot tables, etc. for analysis.
  • Ability to collect, manage, and manipulate data efficiently.
  • Experience with accounting systems and able to become power user/subject matter expert for such systems.
  • Strength in researching, understanding and succinctly explaining complex transactions and business impact.
  • High degree of integrity to handle confidential information.
  • Attention to detail.
    Intellectual curiosity with a desire to improve processes and take on additional responsibilities.

What We Offer:
  • Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
