The Veritone Sales team is looking for an Account Executive for SLED accounts. In this role, you will partner with  channel sales and sales development professionals to uncover new sales opportunities within an assigned product category. You’ll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track all customer data.

As the Account Executive for SLED you will lead the effort to develop our go-to-market strategy, sales enablement resources, and thought leadership strategy for our AI-native applications servicing Public Safety and Law Enforcement Agencies. Our applications cover a broad spectrum of use cases spanning from helping police departments identify suspects captured in video evidence to assisting district attorneys to surface key evidence buried in terabytes of discovery ESI. Our applications are all built upon aiWARE, a hyper-expansive Enterprise AI platform. aiWARE orchestrates an expanding ecosystem of machine learning models to transform audio, video, and other data sources into actionable intelligence.

We need an effective Sales person with a relentless curiosity for technology and command for market insight and communication. For this role, we’d highly prefer someone with existing public safety, DOD/Intel or legal eDiscovery enterprise software product sales experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Execute a prospecting plan to develop and progress a sales lead pipeline.
  • Conduct outbound cold calling (50+ dials a day) and supporting email campaigns into identified prospects.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Development Manager to develop scripts and adjust as necessary.
  • Work with Inside Sales Representatives and Account Executives to formulate  key prospect target plans and drive qualified leads.
  • Obtain a thorough knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, our target industries, case studies, etc.
  • Conduct a thorough follow-up on leads/lists generated by marketing programs (website inquiries, trade show booth visits, seminar attendees, etc.).
  • Drive attendance to events such as webinars, local seminars, trade shows, etc.
  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Record all communication, sales and lead qualification activity into Salesforce.com and Salesloft.com.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support ongoing outbound email cadences creation, improvements and experiments to achieve higher open and response rates.
  • Share learnings and prospects’ feedback with cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or sales management
  • 5+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
  • 5+ years of solutions sales experience in software (SaaS) or high-technology offerings and services
  • Proven sales track record with history of clearly meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Detail oriented, strong relationship building skills, and a keen focus on customer service
  • Experience using Salesforce.com (SFDC)

BONUS POINTS IF 

  • Previous Sales experience for an enterprise-class product in any of the following segments: eDiscovery, compliance surveillance, media asset management, content management, business process automation, RPA; preferably in the public safety, DOD/Intel or legal eDiscovery markets.
  • Previous experience supporting MSA, SI and/or government channel partners with enablement and education programs
  • Experience in eDiscovery, digital evidence management, compliance surveillance, media asset management, or content management.
  • Technical acumen in B-to-B SaaS/PaaS, Cloud, and Enterprise Software
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence workflows
  • Understanding of online software (SaaS) services and technology-based solutions.
