We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Director, Energy Supply Solutions to join the Energy Procurement team. This individual will be working with corporate customers to empower them to best manage their energy budget and / or help them achieve their sustainability objectives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the energy commodity industry with an understanding of how to analyze load and generation, how to structure commodity transactions, how to manage that commodity risk and how to negotiate and execute complicated contacts associated with these transactions.

What you’ll do:
- Conduct thorough assessments of client energy needs, consumption patterns, and sustainability objectives
- Analyze client energy data (e.g., utility bills, Arcadia platform data, market forecasts, etc.) to identify opportunities for energy cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Create recommendations for corporate clients regarding both adjusting consumption and hedging energy exposure to save costs and / or manage energy budget risk
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to develop detailed energy reports that summarize findings & recommendations
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the energy sector
- Assist clients with navigating the regulatory landscape related to energy and sustainability
- Leverage market intelligence and extensive knowledge of energy markets to analyze energy market trends and report to customers
- Optimize client energy procurement strategies using Arcadia’s market insights and competitive pricing data
- Solicit, analyze and negotiate retail supply agreements and wholesale energy purchases on behalf of our customers
- Work with Arcadia tools and its vendors to create forecasted energy budgets for customers in both regulated and deregulated markets
- Assist clients with developing and implementing a clean energy procurement strategies that consider the customers’ cost, risk and sustainability objectives
- On behalf of our customers, solicit, analyze, negotiate and execute clean energy contracts
- Utilize Arcadia’s tools to track and report on clients’ clean energy purchases progress towards Scope 1, 2 and potentially 3 goals
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to leverage Arcadia’s utility data platform and other enterprise solutions to meet client needs.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and marketing materials.
What will help you succeed:
Must-haves:
- Over 5 years involved in wholesale and/or retail energy industry
- Strong capability to price and analyze risk associated with load and generation
- Experience negotiating complex commodity contracts
- Understanding of wholesale commodity market including energy and RECs
Nice-to-haves:
- Strong relationships with industry professionals who are generation owners, developers, wholesale trading organization and / or retail energy suppliers
- Experience with sales and helping corporate customers navigate energy purchases
- Experience with sales and helping corporate customers navigate new renewable generations purchases
